Training Systems Design for Human Resource Development (HRD)
Corporate training is a fast developing
field that is more and more recognised as a crucial function for Human Resource
Development. Profit as well as non-profit organisations show increasing dynamics in their
structure and management procedures. Jobs tend to become more and more knowledge
intensive. Organisations develop into learning organisations where training becomes an
integral part of day-to-day job performance. At the same time course-based training
remains in place for specific training needs. The specialisation 'Training Systems Design
for Human Resource Development (HRD)' prepares training professionals for change
management situations by high-level training.
A major characteristic of this
specialisation is that it provides both breadth by cutting through all design levels from
organisation and management to curriculum, instruction, instrumentation, and evaluation,
as well as depth by the up-to-date scientifically-based content of the courses from the
perspective of organisational development theories.
The elective courses for this
specialisation are selected from the set of HRD-related courses that are offered in the
specialisations 'Organisation and Management' 'Curriculum', 'Instruction',
'Instrumentation', and 'Evaluation'.
